Serpent and Dove – Shelby Mahurin

Serpent and Dove is a great and unique adventure, it could have been so much more but I can’t wait to read the second and third instalments to see how it develops.

Where the Crawdads Sing – Delia Owens

If you like mysteries and thrillers this probably isn’t the book for you. But if you like a well-written coming of age story this would certainly hit the spot.

The Wolf Den – Elodie Harper*

The Wolf Den is a rich story about friendship and sisterhood with the backdrop of the brutal reality of being a brothel slave.

Children of Blood and Bone – Tomi Adeyemi

Children of Blood and Bone blends fantasy and references to West-African culture seamlessly, making for a unique and intriguing read.

The Missing Sister – Dinah Jefferies

The mystery element to this story was my favourite. I love it if I can get to the end of the novel and still have no idea whodunit, those are the BEST and this was one of them.

Into the Crooked Place – Alexandra Christo*

There’s nothing really to hate here in Into the Crooked Place. It was just a bit, well bland. I think the big problem here was I’ve read it before.

The Wicked King – Holly Black

Full of the twists and turns I hoped for and needed. A perfect cliffhanger for book three

King of Scars – Leigh Bardugo

Having loved all the previous Grishaverse books I couldn’t wait for this. I mean I added it to my TBR list two years before it was released, I was THAT keen. Nikolai is one of my favourite characters and so the fact he was getting his own series…. YES PLEASE!
