The Cruel Prince – Holly Black

A slow burner for me, but once the story got moving, in particular, the last 10%, I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what happens in the second book coming in January 2019.

Miller & Carter Thursday Date Night Menu

Considering my husband LOVES his steak we’ve never really considered Miller & Carter, preferring local restaurants over a chain. I mean how good can steak be from a chain restaurant, compared to something more locally sourced?…

Empire of Storms – Sarah J. Maas

The Woman in the Wood – Lesley Pearse*

The Woman in the Wood is full of drama, full of suspense, I couldn’t have asked for more!

Fire Lines – Cara Thurlbourn*

Temple Spa Treats

As I’ve already mentioned I’m a big fan of Temple Spa’s skincare. So after a few months of using their products as part of my daily routine, I decided to treat myself to a few…

Our Dark Duet – V.E. Schwab

A great final book. I loved the quirkiness of the series, it made a refreshing change from many of the “me too” YA novels I’ve picked up recently. A great book to bring you out of a reading slump and back in the game!

Wonder Woman: Warbringer – Leigh Bardugo

I loved the writing style in Wonder Woman: Warbringer just as much as I thought I would. Regardless of the subject matter Leigh Bardugo was able to create a wonderful narrative that I wanted to immerse myself in.
