As I’ve already mentioned I’m a big fan of Temple Spa’s skincare. So after a few months of using their products as part of my daily routine, I decided to treat myself to a few more products during a free delivery weekend.
In The Beginning Deep Cleansing Melt
As I mentioned in my skincare review I wasn’t all that keen on the cleanser I had chosen, I remembered during the session loving the smell of this one though and I kept coming back to it, even though I knew it might be a bit heavy for my skin type.
The texture feels very rough, so it’s tempting to think this is a scrub which can’t be used daily, however, the gritty feel is in fact, lots of tiny beads filled with essential oils, that pop/dissolve as you massage them into your skin. This gives you a gentle exfoliating feel, followed by a rich texture as you continue to massage it in.
It’s tempting to feel this is a “just for special occasions” product as a treat rather than a daily cleanser but I just love that it feels like a treat each and every time I use it.
I’ve been using this cleanser for 3 months now (still over half full!) and I can honestly say it’s the best I’ve ever used. Everything from the smell and texture, to the velvety feeling of my skin after use is just amazing, it’s no wonder it’s a bit of a cult classic and a brand fav.
One little tip I would give is to make sure you warm the product on your fingers. I find on cold dry skin this doesn’t work as well as it does on recently washed and warm skin.
If you want to give it a go for yourself you can order directly via the Temple Spa website. It’s £30 for 75g and lasts for ages, they have recently updated the packaging as well so it’s even more luxurious looking, let me know what you think!
Trufflesque Ultra Hydration & Radiance Masque
Now this one really is a bit of a treat, I mean it looks like liquid gold and you’ll probably feel like a bit of a bond girl as you paste it on. I use quite a lot of masks these days, I like a nice weekly pamper, and this is a firm favourite. Anything that boasts something called a “Hydra-plump complex” must be good right?
Unlike some masks this one doesn’t dry, so you never feel any skin tightening whilst it’s on or uncomfortableness when removing. When dry it simply feels a little tacky to the touch. I remove this with warm water and follow it up with my normal skincare routine.
Results wise I wouldn’t say my skin felt any plumper than usual, but it does feel more hydrated and softer. In fact, on weeks where my skin does feel dry, this is the mask I gravitate towards first.
The pot is big, and you really don’t need a lot so even though it is a little on the pricey side I think you get good value for money.
Try it out for yourself. You can order directly from the Temple Spa website for £55 for 75ml
Repose Aromatherapy Resting Cream
What drew me to this product in the first instance was the smell, I just loved it. If I close my eyes I can just imagine myself in a spa getting a full-on facial treatment. The Lavendar, in particular, is very relaxing. When ordering I noticed this was referred to as a “spa in a jar” and that pretty much does sum it up for me.
Although apparently for use at any time of the day, it feels more like it’s designed to be used at night as this is on the heavier side, especially when compared to the gel-based moisturiser I like to use as part of my morning routine.
The great thing about it is that if you really wanted to, and I sometimes do! you can use it elsewhere, I sometimes use a little extra on my neck and chest so I can smell it better once in bed. I even took a small pot of it in my flight bag recently as is was great for using during a mid-flight pamper.
Try this “Spa in a jar” yourself you can order directly from the Temple Spa website, it’s £40 for 50ml
Have you tried any of these? I’m always looking for other Temple Spa products to try, what would you recommend?
